‘Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house,
Some creatures were stirring – hey, was that a mouse?!
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that come morning, no bats are up there!
The children were nestled, all snug in their beds,
While visions of paint chips danced in their heads.
And mama in her ‘kerchief and I in my cap
Had just taken a break, to try not to snap.
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
And off fell the shutters and down slammed the sash.
The moon on the crest of the new fallen snow
That dripped through the ceiling on objects below…
Well, you get the idea…Property ownership has its challenges, ongoing maintenance, and never-ending projects. Sometimes it’s all we think about…and it’s completely consuming.
But just for today, and maybe for a few,
Consider a break, and YOU just BE YOU.
